Abstracts. The article deals with a specific character of an approach to education of children based on the methods of rehabilitation of deaf and hearing-impaired children by E.I. Leongard. The author also analyses the school changes during the last decades. Based on the activity of Leongard, the author shows the fate of educational novelties under the contemporary circumstances. There is a tendency that dynamics in large cities is initiated by experiments and novelties.
