Art of managing complex systems: learning by playing

Abstract. The article discusses the issue of managers’ training. The interactive educational model «The art of managing complex systems» developed by the author is described in the paper. The module includes 36 tuition hours, 22 hours of autonomous learning, 12 hours of face-to-face meetings and covers several basic courses. Psychological support of managerial decision making (self-reports, games’ protocols) is also included in the module. It is demonstrated that working with imitation management systems enables an individual student and a group of students to apply received theoretical knowledge to practice in the environment close to real business conditions.
